Portobello Market

I am not going to lie - reliving this day induces mild anxiety. I have waited since October, yes October, to put up these few pictures. Let's just say the "market of all markets" did not exactly live up to its name. It seems to go on for miles and miles... with stores such as Poundland and boutiques that only offer polyester dresses for the price of 59 pounds splattering the sidewalks. Um, no thanks. Even more overwhelming are the masses of people surrounding and shoving you. Very lovely. And there just seemed to be A LOT of unwanted junk. Yes, one man's trash is another one's treasure, but I wasn't feeling it. Don't worry there are some AMAZING jewelry stalls and other odds and ends, but it is easy to miss them! People watching was definitely half the fun. Or maybe most the fun? I just love how carefree and chic everyone was (well most of everyone). While I went home empty handed I absolutely loved Supermarket Sarah, apparently Selfridges does too as she has just curated a space in their London Concept Store. She had the most eclectic and bright fabrics, dresses, prints, you name it! Maybe I'll be giving Portobello another try... I'm not too sure though. I think I'm just fine with Spitalfields.
